CLOCKWORK
With its design, Volant translates the streamlined shapes of the cars
from the 60s. Due to the combination of the fragile details and the organic shapes, the middle part of the clock seems to float.
In addition, the clock is made of layers of wood and is finished to a modern, retro and chic model. Between the plates, a sheet of plexiglass is added, which also promotes the floating effect. As a small add-on, Volant also contains an LED strip that can be switched on, so that you
will always be guided back by the light.
VOLANT Process
Volant is a clock, inspired by the beautiful, streamlined shapes of cars of the last century, to be precise; the Porsche from 1957. The starting point is the beautiful powerful steering wheel, worked out in a fragile way, so that the middle part seems to float. An aspect that is used for the design of the clock.
